Together with Roda JC, Mudguard created workshops where belief, vision and creativity came together. By giving young people space to express their stories, these sessions showed how confidence and ambition can grow through culture.
Inspiration inside the stadium
On April 29, 2025, Mudguard hosted a workshop at the stadium of Roda JC for young people with a distance to the labour market. Guided by Armand, we stepped into a group that was open, focused and eager to learn. The session started with an inspiration talk centered around one message. Belief comes first.
Mudguard shared its own story of building something from nothing, and why the third collection is called Manifest. Because everything begins with vision, belief and persistence. The group listened closely, taking in the idea that dreams become realistic when you commit to them.
Creativity with meaning
When the design phase started, the atmosphere shifted. Ideas flowed freely and each participant translated their own story into a t-shirt concept. Some designs were playful, others deeply personal, but all carried meaning.
The room filled with conversation, laughter and focus. The process showed how fashion can be more than fabric. It can be a way to express identity, values and ambition.
Community in Kerkrade
On May 23, Mudguard returned, this time to a local community centre in Kerkrade, again supported by Roda JC. This group was deeply connected to football culture, and many designs reflected admiration for players who inspire them.
One participant shared a design inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo. He explained how Ronaldo grew up with very little on an island in Portugal and became one of the most influential athletes in the world. His conclusion was simple and powerful. If he can do it, so can I.That belief is at the core of this collaboration. It is what Mudguard aims to leave behind. A mindset that turns dreams into direction.
